The “Zdravets” hotel compound is just 250 m away from the town\'s main spa center and at the same time at the end of the town, in full contact of nature. It is set up among a beautiful park, through which flows a small river. The whole area is 12 dka. There is possibility for tennis courts and swimming pools to be build there. The spring water the complex is supplied with is in an abundant quantity and with a legalized right to be used. The temperature of the spring is 560 degrees C, and on the territory of the village – 470.The construction of the complex (1986) is monolithic, with modern architecture design and with own electricity supply, new central heating and ventilation systems. Comfortable 25 single floor houses are offered here, 20 of which are with 4 rooms, each with 2 or 3 beds and toilets and bathroom, and 5 cosy apartments. The complex has a capacity for 200 people. For the good health of the resting people medical consulting rooms, massage wards, remedial exercise gyms, game halls and library have been in use there. And the day bar and the excellent meal have been a guarantee for the high spirit of everybody. For a few years the comlex doesn\'t function and in order to be reconstructed a refreshments of the interior and modern furnishing is needed.The pictures are from two periods – from the time when the complex has been actively operating and in today\'s condition.
The Spa of Hissarya is situated in the southern slopes of the Sredna Gora Moutains, 140 km from Sofia and only 42 km from Plovdiv. Hissarya was famous as a spa already in Roman times when its 20 mineral springs attracted people who sought a cure for their rheumatism, kidney and liver troubles, disease of the gull bludder, stomach and intestines, disturbances of the reproductive system, skin diseases, etc. Many interesting monuments survive from the splendid ancient town of Augusta: the Hissar Tomb from late antiquity, famous for its colourful murals, Hissar fortress and the southern “Camel” gate, among others.
